Join us for our Annual Basketball League! This league will include a
10 game season and a weekly team practice.  From first time players to experienced veterans, there is a place for everyone in this league.

Players will receive an MBA shirt and use of an MBA jersey (to be returned upon completion of the season).

Players will be divided into leagues by grade:
Grades 4-6 will play 10 5ON5 full court games
Grades 2-3 will play 10 4ON4 cross court games

GAME SCHEDULES
League games will operate from November 4, 2023 – January 27, 2024. Games will be played on Saturdays, with the potential for 2-3 Friday evening games. Please note that we try to accommodate team scheduling in relation to other major community events, however, due to the large number of players/ teams we serve it is not possible to avoid all schedule conflicts. The league will not schedule games during Thanksgiving weekend or Midland Public Schools Winter Break.

PRACTICE SCHEDULES
Each team will be scheduled a one-hour practice, once per week at local school gyms. Practices will begin the week of Oct. 23.

VOLUNTEER COACHES
Any parents interested in coaching can sign up during registration. All volunteer coaches must complete and pass a criminal background check.

TEAM ROSTERS
Players who register individually will be placed on a team with other boys/girls in the same grade, from the same school. Teams with not enough players will be combined with others.

TEAM REGISTRATION
Players that wish to put a team together instead of registering individually must turn in a completed roster and all payments at once. 2nd-5th grade teams that register together must attend the same school; all players must be in the same grade. 6th grade teams that register together must have attended the same Elementary school. A volunteer coach must be in place to register as a team. Team rosters can be found at www.greatermidland.org/mba.

Coaches Meeting: Wednesday, October 11 at 6:30pm in the Barstow-Shipps room at the Community Center.
